Maternity Portrait
The materntiy portrait is all the rage these days, celebrities are lining up to
capture their pregnancy on the cover of their favourite magazine. It's not just
about the publicity, it is more about the beauty of the female body as it creates
life. It is a wonderful experience and increasing numbers of women are taking the
time to get professional maternity portraits taken as a way of treasuring the memories
of this time in their lives.
The maternity portrait session is designed for mums-to-be as a comfortable and relaxing
experience where they can obtain beautiful images of one of the greatest experiences
they can have.
In short, No. Your level of nudity is entirely up to you, from fully clothed to
completely nude, we are comfortable with whatever level you choose. Whatever amount
of nudity you decide is correct for you we will always ensure that it is photographed
tastefully and in a flattering manner.
Between the 32nd and 34th weeks of your pregnancy is when your bump is at its finest.
We are happy to shoot earlier if you develop sooner, and we are also happy to shoot
after the 34th week if it fits in to your life more conveniently.
Stretch marks are something which most women experience during pregnancy, and the
sentiments are split as to whether they should be left in or not. So we leave the
decision to you. Should you wish to have any stretch marks shown in your photos,
we'll leave them in. If you want them removed, we shall edit them out.
Newborn Portrait
Capturing the early years is so important to every parent, kids grow so quickly
and every single moment is precious. Starting from the day they are born until they
are 15 months old is the fastest they will grow in their lives and we know that
you can't capture every moment, but you can watch them grow at each step.
Well, that's what babies do, and we can't force them to stop, so we set a good chunk
of extra time aside and we soldier on. We recommend that before coming to a newborn
portrait session you give your baby as much sleep as they want and feed them just
before we begin (before or after you arrive, either is fine with us). The best apporach
is to treat the shoot like a normal day.
