Headshot Photography The story of your talent
As an actor, dancer, singer or presenter your headshot is going to be your single most important marketing tool. It needs to stand out against the hundreds of other headshots that are submitted for every casting, while subtly demonstrating your professional versatility.
Actors
Your headshot has to be eye-catching & attention-grabbing while still being an accurate representation of the way you look. The best way to ensure you make it through the casting process and actually get an audition is to have the highest quality headshot that introduces you as a professional, talented actor who is perfect for the role. After that it is all up to you.
Singers
Of all the headshots singers are usually the most stylised as their headshot communicates their style, genre and personality all in a single image. An operatic falsetto will be photographed very differently from an RnB session singer. Every headshot is planned to the last detail, and for singers I usually have to pull out a few extra tricks.
Dancers
Spotlight, as well as most casting agents & directors, want to see two photos of dancers; a head & shoulders shot and a full length shot. These show your appearance and your physique, they also give you an opportunity to demonstrate form in the pose that you choose for your full length image which gives a little extra personal style to your headshots.
Presenters
Being a presenter requires poise, wit, & composure; all of which can be demonstrated in a good quality headshot. Presenters are allowed colour headshots, unlike their acting brethren, and this can allow for a more vibrant & dynamic looking image. You can still opt for a black & white headshot to reflect a more classic style. Whatever your presenting abilities, I can work with you to create the ideal headshot.
